Jean Dodd
As a member of the Elements sustainable design division of BNIM Architects, Jean assists several design teams with green strategies and U.S. Green Building Council LEED™ certification. Her passion for and interest in sustainable design has guided her career path in architecture. Before joining BNIM in 2006 she was as a project manager for the U.S. General Services Administration in Kansas City. She served as the Region 6 Sustainability Representative, guiding several projects through the LEED™ certification process and helping them to win national environmental awards.
Currently Jean holds a director's seat on the AIA Missouri board and is working to introduce green building language into legislation in Missouri. She served as chair of the AIA Kansas City Committee on the Environment in 2006-2007 and participated in a construction waste management forum in 2005 that lead to an online recycling database. She also worked on the communications committee for the Greater Kansas City chapter of the USGBC. She is a LEED Accredited Professional.
